Let's start whit my favourite

I think electronics is modern magic, we carve little really specific drawings into a type of rock and add certain impurities and it controls things completly invisible to life and we can make it do math? That is what I call magic, but some people tend to insist its "physics".
These wont be in any particular order.

The Cathode Ray Tube, in few words what it does is shoot electrons at the screen which have a layer that glows when hit by electrons.
Where do the electrons come from? The incredibly named electron gun of course!

CRTs also just have a specific feeling I can't quite pin point what it is. The whine of a big heavy box of endless entretainment just charms me in a very specific way.
I do have my own CRT! She was rescued from the sidewalk, face down in the dirt. After a good cleaning she ended up just working. Meet Mimi!

She is serving as a monitor for my Nintendo Wii, but since said Wii is homebrewed I use it a lot for emulating both the Apple ][e and the Commodore 64 8-bit computers, since I haven't been able to come across genuine ones.
